Pitcards

Terms of use

Version 2026-11-05. Creating a shop records that you accepted this version, and the time you did.

Have a lawyer review this before you rely on it for a real shop. It explains how this software is meant to be used. It is not a substitute for Alberta PIPA, federal privacy law, or tax advice.

The service

Pitcards is desk software for an independent repair shop. It keeps customers, vehicles, estimates, repair orders, invoices, and payment records. It does not take credit cards, move money, file taxes, or give legal advice.

Your account

You sign in with the shop name and the password you choose. You are responsible for that password and for anyone you let use the shop. Staff names in the app are records. They do not get their own sign-in.

Customer information

Names, phones, addresses, plates, and VINs you enter belong to your shop. You decide what you are allowed to keep. In Alberta, personal information about your customers is your responsibility under PIPA, and federal privacy rules can apply as well. Pitcards stores those records so the desk can use them. It is not your privacy officer.

Prices, tax, and payments

Labor rates, parts, GST, shop supply, and card surcharge are numbers you enter. An invoice is your shop's record of the job and of what was paid. Pitcards does not collect the payment and does not store card numbers. You are responsible for charging the right tax and for keeping the records your accountant or the CRA asks for.

The demo shop

Northside Auto Service is sample data for trying the software. Do not put a real customer in that shop. Create your own shop for real work.

Availability and copies

The site can be interrupted, changed, or shut down. Keep your own copies of estimates and invoices you must retain. Pitcards is provided as the software runs today, without a promise that it will meet a filing, audit, or insurance requirement.

If these terms change

A new version date means the text changed. A shop created after that date accepts the new version. This page shows the version in force for new shops.
